Hi, I'm Veka, food photographer.
I love to bring food to life through beautiful photos and videos.
I'm Veka, a passionate photographer and videographer specialised in gastronomy and gastronomic products.
My path has not been conventional. I started in the world of finance, studying financial mathematics and working in the financial sector. I kept training more and more, until I reached Level 2 of the prestigious CFA programme, which is recognised worldwide, just before I became pregnant...
But photography has always been my secret passion. During my studies at university, capturing images was my refuge and my way of procrastinating before exams. I photographed everything: desserts, landscapes, portraits and I even photographed weddings.
The birth of my children transformed my perspective. I started to question my happiness in my career and decided to follow my passion. I first started giving sourdough courses and to promote them, I needed good photos. So I rediscovered my love for food photography and immersed myself in intensive training, quickly developing my skills and perfecting my technique.
Leaving a secure career in finance was not easy, but the passion for photography and the desire to help other brands stand out drove me. My influences have been crucial: Eva Kosmas Flores, Rachel Korinek, Parker Wallbeck, Alex Koloskov, Lucia Marecak... Each of them has left their mark on my style, allowing me to develop a unique and distinctive vision.
My values of transparency, closeness and dedication to 120% guide my work. I strongly believe in the importance of thoroughly understanding each business I work with. This ensures that my photos and videos are not only visually stunning, but also accurately reflect the vision of my clients.
My work has left its mark on many. Lucia Marecak, one of my «teachers» in terms of gastronomic photography with her membership, when she saw the quality of the videos I made for my clients, invited me to give masterclasses on recording and editing professional videos for the students of her membership. That's how I went from student to trainer.
Several of my photographs have been awarded by Foodelia. But the most gratifying thing is the feedback from my clients, such as one who compared the experience of reviewing my photos to the excitement of choosing her wedding photos, demonstrating the emotional impact of my work.
